The Business Problem

Identify opportunities to bring new specialty, fine chemical and small chemical manufacturers into the State to leverage product streams from the already present, larger integrated chemical sites.

SSA’s Methodology

• Onsite interviews and analysis to identify chemical plants/sites within the designated geographic region that have products or side streams that may be of interest to specialty manufacturers.
• Design and populate a database of promising streams/chemicals/infrastructure that may be attractive to specialty chemical manufacturers.
• Develop a target list of high, value-added specialty chemicals that could potentially utilize the identified streams/chemicals as raw materials.
• Contact a pilot group of prospect companies and open discussions to gauge interest.
