LOUISIANA’S INCUMBENT WORKER TRAINING PROGRAM (IWTP)

The State of Louisiana has developed a tremendous resource that is helping many Louisiana companies to lower the cost of training and developing their employees. This resource is called the Incumbent Worker Training Program or IWTP.
The IWTP is a partnership between the Louisiana Department of Labor (LDOL), business and industry, and training providers such as SSA Consultants. The program is designed to assist in the skill development of existing Louisiana employees through financial grants awarded to eligible employers. The IWTP is funded through existing unemployment insurance tax contributions. LDOL offers two versions of this program: Customized Training and Small Business Employee Training (SBET).
SSA offers a wide variety of topics from its general library of training courses to organizations participating in the Customized Training version of IWTP. For the SBET version of the incumbent worker program, SSA offers the following courses:
